Head of Inclusion at The Quay
Permanent Appointment employed by Four Rivers MAT
Salary Scale L8-12
September 2025 or before if possible
The Quay is a new initiative under the Four Rivers MAT. In line with our philosophy to be inclusive in all aspects of our practice we are looking to grow additional places for learners with additional needs.
The Quay is a single site on the Dial Park campus that will be host to a 24 place Educational Resource Provision and a satellite provision to support learners with SEMH needs. The centre will also accommodate a unique outreach and support provision for mainstream schools to access, a training centre and work in partnership with Stockport Local Authority to work alongside the Family Hub.
We plan to open The Quay offer from September 2025 and we need a visionary leader to lead and manage the site, the team and the learning in partnership with the leadership teams of Dial Park Primary Schools and Oakgrove School.
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who has a proven record of understanding special educational needs and sees the value in offering an inclusive curriculum for all. We need someone who is a people person and someone who sees solutions not problems and can coordinate a team successfully to ensure our young people have the learning offer they deserve.
Our successful candidate will be part of the Trust’s Inclusion Leadership Team. They will have responsibility of coordinating and managing the team at The Quay and will fulfil the SENDCO role for the learners based there. The role involves working with learners, parents, colleagues and outside agencies and is a non-class based position although there may be a flexible teaching commitment throughout the academic year.
